Paul the driving force behind the team at Ashburton Meats, began his involvement in the industry in 1989. Starting as a clean-up kid out the back of the shop, Paul has seen the evolution of Ahsburton Meats to what it is today.

Paul is now the passionate owner and prides himself on providing customers with a truly enjoyable shopping experience. With a wide ranging knowledge about all produce, Paul is able to pass on this knowledge to customers, from cooking tips to cuts of meats.

Paul’s passion was to design a range of condiments to accompany the meat at Ashburton Meats. This saw him create Paul’s Fine Foods, a range of condiments perfect to accompany any type of meat. The new range of spice rubs and sauces can be found in the Ashburton Meats store.

Outside of Ashburton Meats, Paul is a one eyed Magpies supporter, loves a good magic trick, but most of all loves spending time with his 3 gorgeous kids.

I started working at Ashburton Meats in 2017, I have been on and off in the meat industry since 2011 but found my calling when I started here. Everyday I learn new things and continue to grow my knowledge in Butchery. In 2019, I tried out for the Australian Steelers as an apprentice and ended up coming 1st reserve for the Australian team. I love playing darts and one day hope to take my passion for it overseas to play in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC).

I also have 3 amazing boys that I can’t wait to watch learn and grow together.

I started at Ashburton meats in 2015, as a clean up kid during my schooling at De La Salle College. After graduating in 2017, I then completed a degree in Biomedicine at Latrobe University. Once completing my degree in 2020 I began my apprenticeship at Ashburton Meats.

I have been lucky enough to represent my country apart of the Australian Butcher Team, where I competed in the World Butchers Challenge in Sacramento, California. I was ultimately crowned World Champion Apprentice Butcher.

Ashburton meats is a fun productive workplace and it is shown through the quality of the products in the shop and the friendly nature of the staff. So pop in and say hello to the best butcher shop going around!

Hi, I’m Kylie. I started at Ashburton Meats in 2017. I started my working career at Foodtown Ashburton and since then have been employed in a number of butcher shops. Over the years I have continued to learn more of the meat industry and butchering with the team.

I did my high school years in Ashwood College and Ashwood was where I was raised. I love watching the V8 Supercars and have been to Bathurst many times to watch the races. When it comes to footy, Collingwood Football Club is my team of choice. I now raise two boys of my own who are my world. My passion is to see my boys strive to follow their goals.

I have now settled here at Ashburton Meats to further my experience under a great team of butchers. I am really enjoying my time here and look forward to many more years to come. Please let me know if there is anything I can help you with!

I started at Ashburton Meats in 2017, working after school and on weekends as a clean-up kid while completing secondary school at De La Salle College. From the back of the shop, I worked my way up to the front, growing a passion for customer service and producing quality products.

Having grown up in the Ashburton area, I am no stranger to the Ashburton community and love having a chat with anyone who comes through the shop. I also love the fun and hard-working atmosphere created by the team here at Ashburton Meats; working alongside mates who have competed in the trade worldwide and can always have a laugh.

I am currently studying a double degree in Engineering and Science at Monash University, but when I am not studying or working you can find me playing the guitar or madly supporting the St Kilda football team.

Hi, I’m Jim. I started my apprenticeship at Ashburton Meats in 2022 and although I am a relatively new member of the team, I’ve loved my time learning from and working with the rest of the crew in a fun and supportive environment. I’ve worked in Ashburton for over a decade, in which time I have relished becoming a part of the Ashburton community and getting to know all the friendly locals

I’m a passionate sports fan (especially AFL, Rugby Union and Cricket) and am involved in a number of local sports clubs in the local area. When I’m not at work or watching sports, I love driving down the Great Ocean Road to spend time at Wye River with my family and friends.

I am looking forward to learning all there is to know about the meat industry from the rest of our friendly and knowledgeable team and look to become the next in a long line of talented butchers here at Ashburton Meats.
